Having recently lost my 17 year old Shih Tzu, I was hesitant to get a new puppy. After seeing the Family Teddy Bears website and speaking with Jan, I decided to visit her home and see a sweet Shichon she had......the rest is history. We are in love with our little Gizmo and would highly recommend these reputable folks if you are looking for a puppy.

Where do I even begin? From start to finish, the process with Family Teddy Bears has been nothing short of perfect! Kris went above and beyond to make it so enjoyable and exciting. Our puppy was the best decision we have made in a long time. When he came home, he was already potty trained on grass (so helpful!!), social, well behaved, and absolutely adorable. Kris sent us home with so much information, support, and answers to all of our questions. And since coming home, we have maintained a relationship and Kris has always been available for support and any questions we may have. Thank you so much, Family Teddy Bears! ❤️

I got our little Piper in October and I couldn’t be happier. Both Kris snd Jan took time to speak with me as I had lots of questions (my first small dog). As for Piper….She is the BEST!!!! She loves everyone and everyone loves her. She has a great personality and so much fun to have….. I have had a number of people inquire where they can find a Piper??

Jan and Kris were a delight to work with. They are both super knowledgeable and walked us through the pros and cons of each breed to help us find the best fit for our family. They kept us informed through the entire process, and sent lots of videos and pictures as we awaited adoption day. Very accommodating and easy to work with. We highly recommend Family Teddy Bears! I searched many breeders before finding Family Teddy Bears and I must say they are amazing. From the beginning they answered all of many questions I had. The puppy was in perfect health and documentation was provided. They take very good care of their puppies. You will not be disappointed. I even reach out when I have questions regarding my pup's care and they are there every step of the way. Stop searching and reserve your fur baby.

I found Family Teddy Bears online. I called and spoke with Jan who was very friendly and answered all of my questions. We arranged to visit her home to see two of her puppies, only planning to get one, but the were both so cute that we got both pups. Jan was very organized giving me detailed history of the pups, picture of the parents, Vet record, samples of the food that they had been eating, toy, collar and blanket for each pup. Jan continued to stay in contact with me to help with my puppy parenting questions and guide us on feeding and care of our pups. They are both healthy and wonderful and I only have positive things to say about Family Teddy Bears, Jan and Kris.

Jan was so great to work with and super friendly. She sent me several pics of my sweet Shih Tzu puppy before I even met her. I appreciate that because we drove 2 hours to see her.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a puppy. Jan even sent me messages and emails once we got home checking on her and providing additional information, which was amazing. They are raising some great dogs.

We highly recommend Family Teddy Bears and would definitely use them again in the future. Jan and Kris were very helpful in answering all our questions and were so helpful in educating us a lot on best practices for the puppy's health but they didn't push an agenda on us either. We could tell their goal was having the puppy's best interest in mind and didn't pressure purchase, but rather made sure the puppy had the best placement with owners who were informed and educated. Unfortunately, we haven't had that experience with some of our other pups from a different place. It was refreshing to see the dogs' health was the priority. They were prompt and thorough in answering all our questions, and a pleasure to work with!

I could never say enough good things about the owners! Our sweet teddy bear puppy is healthy and the sweetest little guy. He is the cutest teddy bear puppy and I have looked at A LOT of dogs this breed before finally founding our boy, Duncan. They helped me understand the breed and stepped me through everything. I never felt alone and I still months later feel like I can text or email anytime to ask questions to help keep our little guy safe and healthy. You will not find a better experience! If you’re looking for a teddy bear puppy this is the place to buy one. I hope we can get another teddy bear puppy soon!

Jan & Kris with Family Teddy Bears are amazing!!!! They made the process of purchasing our toy poodle secure, simple, & enjoyable. My husband and I had countless questions & they were all answered with such detail & compassion. The first month or so that our baby girl Penny was home with us, we ran into many things we were still unsure of. Jan helped us every step of the way!!! Just wanted to say what an awesome experience I had getting my puppy from family teddy bears. Jan and Kris were very helpful. Got our shih-tzu Bichon mix “teddy bear” dog Cedar from Kris and Jan at Family teddy bears. Cedar is the sweetest dog and so gentle with my 6yr old Stepdaughter.

Jan was absolutely wonderful to work with when we made the decision to get a new puppy. We had so many questions and wanted everything to go perfectly. We have never had a small dog before and much of the care is different than our other eighty pound girls. Over several months and many emails I came to know how much each puppy meant to Miss Jan and really what a lovely person she is. She wanted us to get the perfect pup and gave us all the information to get our home ready for our newest addition as well. When we just couldn’t decide by photo, Miss Jan invited us over to meet the puppies at our convenience. I just can’t say enough about her making this a great, easy experience. If I have any questions come up, I still email her for advice. Molly has been so happy from day one. She was so easy to train, so smart and loves everyone. And everyone loves her !! I think Jan’s personality, sweetness and care really started my Molly on the road to being the sweetest girl ever. If you’re looking for someone you can trust and puppies raised in a loving environment from day one look no further. We love Jan. And will definitely keep her contact info so if we decide to get Molly a sibling it will for sure be with Jan.
